HTC Sense
HTC Sense is a user experience focused on putting people at the centre by making phones work in a more simple and natural way. This experience revolves around three fundamental principles that were developed by observing and listening to how people live and communicate. These core tenets of Make It Mine, Stay Close and Discover the Unexpected continue to be the key to the new HTC Sense experience.
The new HTC Sense experience continues to focus on improving your interactions with your most important people. This begins with a new HTC application and widget called HTC Friend Stream that seamlessly aggregates all of your social communication including Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr into one organised flow of updates. This simple aggregation makes it easier than ever to focus on what friends are doing as well as to view the images and links that they share. In addition to Friend Stream, people can be organised into specific social circles, such as groups of friends, colleagues or any other way that makes sense.
With the HTC Desire, it’s all about your information, your entertainment, your multimedia … your way. A multitude of HTC Sense widgets makes it easy to transform your Home screen with rich content that personalizes your phone experience.
If you’re a sports junkie or simply love to keep up to date with the latest news, the HTC Desire keeps you in the know with the News application. News makes it easier than ever to collect all your favourite articles from across the web. Choose from a selection of channels that cover top blogs, news sites or sports pages, or get news updates based on the keywords you select.
Stay Close
The HTC Desire excels at helping you stay in touch with the different circles of friends or colleagues in your life. The new People widget lets you bring any group you create on your phone right to the surface for easy access to calling, messaging, emailing or simply checking up on social networking updates.
The HTC Desire simplifies the way that you tend to all of your social networks. With Friend Stream, your interaction with friends across multiple social networks like Facebook®, Twitter™, and Flickr™ are brought into a single easy to follow stream of updates, photo posts, and shared links. Friend Stream also lets you shout out your thoughts or feelings to all your online friends with a single comment that gets broadcast to both Facebook and Twitter.
Discover the Unexpected
HTC Desire offers an expansive display, a blazing-fast processor, and a great interface. On top of that, it has a lot of little design touches that make a big impact on your overall phone experience: like the new 'Leap' thumbnail view that lets you easily jump to any of the seven panels on your Home screen, or the polite ringer that lowers the ringer volume when you pick up
the phone.
Your work email, calendar appointments, and contacts, are right there on your phone - you can even look up any company contact in the global address book. The HTC Desire also has enhanced support for Exchange security features such as password protection and remote data wipe. And, if you forget to tell your colleagues that you are taking the much needed day off, you can set the ‘Out of Office’ status right from your phone.
HTC Desire was designed to thrive on the web. The screen size is perfect for mobile browsing, with the high resolution AMOLED display making everything you view ultra crisp. The pinch to zoom feature makes zipping around websites intuitive - the text even automatically reflows when you take a closer look so you don’t have to pan left or right, and the Adobe® Flash® support opens up the vast video and gaming resources of the Internet.
HTC Desire’s browser is designed to do more than simply browse. With just a press and hold you can select text on a page and look it up in Wikipedia or have it converted into your native tongue via Google translation tools.

| I love nearly everything about the HTC Desire, apart from the external speaker when playing music - very poor. So if you are looking on playing your music using the external speaker, test it out first. |

However, if you needed to claim on the warranty it would be worth contacting HTC in Australia as they may help but the phone would more than likely have to be returned to us here in the UK as it comes with a UK warranty.

Q:Some people who ordered at end of May have received tracking number but for those ordered mid-May still have not received any emails. Can we know when
by sactyr @ 05/06/2010
1 Answers
A: For tracking information it is much better if you email us asking for it. Some orders sent by Royal Mail don't automatically have that info sent to customers and needs to be asked for. Also, not all orders are sent out in the order that they were received. This can be down to different couriers dealing with different parts of the world.

Q:i live in Bangalore, India and planing to by one. how long would it take to reach me? also, would this be coverd under warranty/guarantee here ?
by AJ @ 19/05/2010
1 Answers
A: If you place an order for this item for delivery anywhere outside of the Uk then it usually takes anywhere from 2-5 days by courier or up to 10 days by Royal Mail.
With regards to warranty issues, outside of the EU will require the item to be returned to the UK for service as HTC do not cover imported items in countries such as India or Australia or even the USA.

A: If you are a business or buying from abroad from a non EU country or the Channel Islands then you can buy VAT free from us. When you place an order with us and you are planning on taking your item abroad then you would need the VAT 407 Form. This can be found by typing 'VAT 407' into the search bar.
