I was not impressed with the phone as it was described to be in pristine condition. When I turned on the phone it kept coming up with a message to say replaced part not recognised by Apple. This to me is not pristine condition. I returned the phone 2 days later. Then I was accused of scratching the phone so they took £20 off me I could not prove this so had to agree with the decision or it looked like I wasn’t getting any of my money back.

This is the third time a member of our household has bought through Handtec. and up until this time everything had been 5 star. Unfortunately this time we had an issue, which ultimately got resolved but left me without a phone for a week. The initial phone was described as excellent in condition but was delivered with broken pixels across some of the screen. this was reported immediately and the CS service member wanted pics and videos which I supplied immediately. They then asked for images of the packaging and asked me to wait 3 days for them to investigate with the Postal service. My contract for purchase is with Handtec, and not reliant on any Royal Mail investigation. Handtec refused to send out a replacement until the other phone had been returned and scanned in. this took over a week to resolve - which in reality is not bad - however it was a week I needed the handset in the first place. I was annoyed the initial phone was clearly not as described. Frustrated that Handetc tried to pass the blame on to the Royal mail, and that they took a week to send out a replacement.

Having never bought a refurbished phone before I was not sure what to expect, however so far all good.
I am a little concerned that sometimes it seems to freeze but it may be a little anxiety about buying a refurbed instead of new. I’ll have to wait and see.
I opted for the highest level of refurb and I have to say the phone looks like new!

I was recommended handtec by a family member who had used the site before to buy a refurbished phone. Quick delivery but on receiving the phone I was surprised to find it uncharged, and not cleaned to satisfactory. I had to clean and then charge the phone before I was able to set it up. I was aware of the condition of ‘Excellent’ with blemishes etc, but I would have expected the phone to be charged and cleaner. However, It was a great price for the refurbished handset.
