iPhone Tips Vol 3

In case you have been a long-term iPhone user, chances are that you are already well aware of the major features that IOS offers. However, IOS is actually packed with a number of hidden accessibility features that many people do not know. These features can often come very handy.

Introducing a number of these major features, here is a list that we have compiled for your ease:

A QUICK CALL

Often at times, we are short on time and wish to make a quick call to a friend or a family member. In order to make use of this feature, simplylaunch the Phone app, and tap on the green call button. This will instantly bring up the last dialednumber.

This way, you will not have to tap on the recent or contacts tab, to search for your last dialedcontact.

THE HIDDEN TRACKPAD

Quite surprisingly, IOS offers an extremely helpful and efficient way for cursormovement. This can be done by tapping and holding on a text until a magnifying glass appears, which can then be dragged to a particular spot.

However, since 3D touch has been introduced in newer models, one can simply press a little harder on a standard IOS keyboard in order to trigger a hidden digital trackpad. By sliding the thumb across this trackpad, one can easily move the cursor. On pressing a little bit harder, it is even possible to select the text.

In case you end up choosing the wrong word, you may just slightly release the pressure without lifting the finger off the trackpad. In order to de-select, push hard on the trackpad again. It is indeed quite simple.

PEAK ZOOM

By default, this setting is disabled and has to be enabled via the Accessibility tab from the Settings app.

After enabling this setting, one can zoom into any part of the screen simply by pressing hard. On loosening the amount of pressure, the screen will begin zooming out.

The amount of zoom in is controlled through a controller that is visible after the zoom/show controller gets enabled.

In order to enable this option, go to Settings, then head to General, Accessibility, then tap on Zoom, and choose Zoom and Show Controller.

DELETING NUMERAL ON CALCULATOR

Often at times, we end up hitting the C key on the calculator whenever we make a mistake. However, there is a better way to delete the last number that you have entered rather than deleting the entire sum. In order to do so, you simply have to swipe left/right on the calculator display panel in order to delete.

SCREENSHOT ON iPhoneX

In case you own an iPhone X, you may find it rather confusing to take a screenshot since there is no home button present. In order to do so, simply press the SIRI button on the right along with the volume up button at the same time. If you’ve upgraded to the stunning new iPhone X you might be baffled by how to take a screenshot.
