TomTom is officially cool
CoolBrands, the annual listing of leading cool brands, announced that TomTom, Europe’s leading personal in-car navigation solution provider, is included in their latest list. As an initiative from the Superbrands organisation, CoolBrands identifies the coolest brands, people and places in the UK. TomTom is included for the first time in the prestigious book, and more importantly appears as the only satellite navigation provider listed.

TomTom ONE wins “Best GPS Unit” at Pocket-Lint.co.uk Awards
The TomTom ONE, the best-selling model in the TomTom range, has won the award for “best GPS unit” in the 2006 Pocket-Lint Awards revealed on 16 November 2006. The TomTom ONE was selected as the best device out of a group of six short listed satellite navigation systems.

The TomTom ONE UK receives a glowing review in this double page feature looking at 'wallet sized' sat nav's. In a round up of 5 devices the TomTom ONE is included and is revealed as Test Winner. It is the only device to receive 5 stars and performance is summed up as "Brilliant". The review goes on to compliment the device further, "It has that simple interface that makes TomTom greatgreat, a 3.5-inch touchscreen, user-friendly maps, speed camera alerts and Bluetooth for use with the Plus services (but not hands free calling).
