it took me a while to find out how to long and lat on it but i found out and it is possible to fo geocaching (go to mark and go right down to the bottom and change)

this simple device without maps is ideal, gets me everywhere i want to go. totally reliable.
no maps to update (they would spoil the systenm anyway) and good battery life on 2 x aa.
data input a bit slow and fiddly is the only downside

  • Can this GPS give an OS grid reference for your position? If yes, to how many figures does it do this? Cheers.
    This device will allow you to view the 10 figure OS grid reference of a selected waypoint.

    This device can be used anywhere in the world and you should be able to plit co-ordinates and waypoints also.

  • I have read a review of this item and it said this unit would be ok for geo caching but I have looked at the spec list at the bottom and it says geo caching no! So is it or can it be made or turned on to geo caching ?...
    Nope you cannot to geo caching with this. Please look at the Garmin oregon and Garmin vista range on our website. thanks.

WAAS-enabled GPS Receiver
With its high-sensitivity, WAAS-enabled GPS receiver, eTrex H locates your position quickly and precisely and maintains its GPS location even in heavy cover and deep canyons.

Built for Adventure
You can operate your eTrex H with just one hand using five buttons, which are located on either side of eTrex H. It is waterproof, so it can take an accidental splash and still perform.

With eTrex H, your adventure can last up to 17 hours on just 2 AA batteries. You can store up to 500 waypoints in memory and by entering the point you want to go to, eTrex H points you to your destination (no street or terrain maps).
